Contract C Bike/Pedestrian Paths Opened Nov. 22
As part of the ICC Contract C project, a series of bike trails/shared use paths have been added to the local landscape. A new path paralleling US 29 northbound will provide pedestrians and bicyclists a connection from Fairland Road to the existing bike path that runs along Briggs Chaney Road. Also, a new path has also been added that parallels MD 200 from Briggs Chaney Road to the east into Little Paint Branch Park, where the path connects to an existing trail and provides access to Old Gunpowder Road in Prince George's County.
The paths opened concurrently with the new road opening to traffic on Nov. 22, and will afford pedestrians and bicyclists alike maximum convenience and accessibility to areas throughout the ICC corridor.
