ICC Contract E - Scope and Schedule Under Review
Contract E of the Intercounty Connector (ICC) is the fourth contract (Contract D is deferred) of the 18.8 mile east/west highway linking Prince George's and Montgomery counties. Currently, Contract E begins east of I-95 and ends at US 1, but the scope of this contract and its schedule is still in the review process.
The review of Contract E's scope should be resolved by late summer 2009 and the advertisement date for the contract has not been determined. When the advertisement date is determined, a notification letter to the industry will be distributed. Immediately following the project's advertisement, the State Highway Administration (SHA) will schedule a pre-proposal meeting.
We encourage potential ICC design-builder teams to review the ICC Project website at www.iccproject.com to learn more about the ICC and SHA's project goals. The website also is an excellent resource for identifying potential Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) firms to serve as team member.
