The design and construction of the Intercounty Connector (ICC) and related environmental projects offers enormous economic opportunity.
The ICC mainline and interchange project is broken into Contracts A-E, as follows:

Contracts

Key Factors in Construction Contract Packaging
Right-of-Way:
- 500 properties
Geotechnical:
- 1,000 to 1,850 Engineering borings
- In excess of 1,000 borings for SWM/Environmental
Environmental Sensitivity:
- Aggressive tracking/monitoring of ROD commitments
- Aggressive timing for permits
- Strong oversight of all construction activities
- An independent environmental monitor will be used
Community Challenges:
- Work schedules
- Noise/dust levels
- Haul routes and vibration
- Material storage/employee parking
Utilities:
- Major gas transmission mains and other utility relocations must be fast-tracked
DBEs:
- Aggressive outreach/involvement of national/local contractors and DBE community
