Mitigation and Stewardship Contracts
In addition to the 5 Mainline Design-Build Contracts, there will be approximately 50 smaller contracts (covering 70 separate sites) that will provide for Environmental Mitigation and Stewardship. These contracts, which will be design-bid-build, will provide excellent construction and design contract and subcontract opportunities for DBE participation on the ICC project. Each of the Environmental Stewardship and Mitigation contracts may have specific DBE goals.

Examples of contract opportunities on the Mitigation and Stewardship Contracts include, but are not limited to:
- Design and design support services
- Geotechnical drilling
- supplemental geotechnical investigations
- utility coordination
- surveying and other preliminary engineering
- permitting
- quality control (as defined in the Contract)
- public information
- environmental compliance activities<
- Wetland creation and associated planting
- Landscaping
- Erosion and sediment control
- Reforestation
- Sidewalks, curbs and gutters
- Pedestrian and bicycle paths
- Stream restoration
